Pup's paradise...I've arrived.

What a journey, luckily the happy farmer had been really helpful today and had disappeared off to do the weekly shop, could have been something to do with the house being full of children. Anyway it meant I could play about with the computer to my heart's content, as the children were busy with their friends, so no one missed me. I feel a bit 'travel sick' just now, all of this cyber travel and staring at computer screens trying to make it all work has fuddled my brain a bit, so the blog will be short and sweet'ish' and I will retire for a glass of wine. Westerwitch I think you need a case of the stuff after what you have done for all of us bloggers here!

The children have taken over the house with their pals today. In between showers they have been tending to the pet lambs, bottles in hands, giggling as the greedy lambs guzzled away. The two youngest have spent most of the day in what was the old piggery, playing dens, gathering old pieces of scrap and junk, transforming them into tables and chairs, stairways created out of old climbing frames and a kitchen from old creels.

A friend turned up from Glasgow, she is over on a girls’ weekend with nine of her pals. The happy farmer loaded them into the quad bike and trailer and took them through the fields on a lambing expedition, before introducing them to the resident pet lambs. You could tell they were city girls, they went all gooey and played ‘pass the lamb’, the lambs eagerly sucking away at their jackets, looking for more milk.

The cottages are both bustling, so we have been busy welcoming and settling in ou new guests. One lot are here to climb 'Marilyns', I hadn't heard of them until now, I don't know if any of you have, apparently they are hills that meet a certain criteria, a bit like Munros, but these are the latest things to climb. No one has ever climbed all of them so I think this group are hoping to achieve that. I am rather envious, I love walking holidays, the happy farmer hates walking, something to do with living on a farm, he feels a walking holiday might be a bit of a busman's holiday, will have to keep calling him the happy fatty farmer, that might do the trick!

Until next time...

Welcome to the world of pink - I see great minds and all that. I keep changing mine as I find a new button to push - GOH thinks I have totally lost the plot now or perhaps put two patches on by mistake. So pleased to see you

I love the idea of a 'Marylin'! Perhaps a little less arduous than a Munro - wonderful to see Pup's paradise again here, and to read your blogs again!

Matron is visiting again with an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

The chat-room is experiencing problems with overloading which we think is causing it to be marked as SPAM, which is in effect locking us all out :-

So in the mean time: each day please look out for the post called ANNOUNCE NEW BLOGS HERE and put your announcements in as comments on that post.

This will still leave space for one personal post per person which we can all comment on.

This is purely a temporary measure, we are keen to get the chatroom back to the weird and wonderful way it was going before - we are looking into various options at the moment (by the way, have you noticed that option is an anagram of potion) - WesterWitch! put down that cauldron!
